Medication Management in Maple Grove
Medication Management at Minnesota Ketamine & Wellness Institute
Understanding Medication Management
The appropriate use of medications is vital in addressing various mental health issues. The right medication can alleviate symptoms and significantly enhance a patient’s quality of life. At Minnesota Ketamine & Wellness Institute, our dedicated team helps patients navigate the process of medication management, which ensures the safety and effectiveness of psychiatric medications.
Medication management involves collaborating with a mental health professional to adjust dosages, change medications, or introduce new ones. As mental health conditions can change over time, it is essential to schedule regular appointments for medication management. Previously effective medications may lose their potency, or new side effects might emerge.
Taking medication can be daunting, particularly for those who have never taken them before or experienced adverse side effects. Gaining a thorough understanding of medication management and the support a mental health provider offers is crucial to feeling comfortable with the recommended treatment plan.
Who Can Benefit from Medication Management?
Stress and trauma can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, hopelessness, and being overwhelmed. These symptoms can occur randomly, infrequently, or persistently. If they negatively impact your life, it’s a sign that you need help.
Our mental well-being is closely connected to our overall physical health. Untreated mental health issues can result in psychological and physical illnesses over time. Regular mental health checkups, as well as routine physical examinations, are essential for maintaining overall health.
Many psychiatric disorders necessitate a multi-faceted treatment approach, including medication, therapy or counseling, life management skills, and lifestyle changes. It’s important to note that not all patients or psychiatric issues require medication. Our mental health providers at Minnesota Ketamine & Wellness Institute will carefully consider all these components to determine the most effective treatment plan for your mental health needs.

Welcome! I am so glad you have made a choice to receive care at The Minnesota Ketamine and Wellness Institute. My name is Denay Kelly, and I am a Family Nurse Practitioner currently working on my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification. I am excited about working with this group of amazing people that truly care about your mental health and well-being.
In my spare time I enjoy anything that has to do with the sun or water. I also love to bicycle, chill on the couch with a good movie, and spend time with good friends. I am so excited to be part of your journey! My future goal when I graduate with my PMHNP certificate in 2023 is to continue to support this clinic in expanding its services. I am also interested in certification for prescribing medical cannabis.
